An Israeli SME has developed sensor technology applied for early detection of ill or discrepant cows or ruminating animals used for dairy or beef production. The technology measures the ruminating activity of the animals using sensors and transmits the data via wireless communication. Farmers are now able to prevent production of inferior products and low yields due to sick cattle or low-quality feed. Partners are sought for licensing or technical cooperation.

Transgenic lines of resistant melons

Researchers at a major Israeli university have developed an innovative technology for the control of plant resistance to fungal infection. They have succeeded in producing a line of cucumbers and melons that are resistant to downy mildew and are currently testing resistance in additional crops. The researchers are looking for strategic partners in the biotechnology field to license this technology.
